The Biblioteca Nacional de España is holding its now traditional Open Day which, on this occasion, forms part of the events to commemorate the Tercentenary of its founding by King Philip V, on 29 December 1711.
Accompanied by volunteer librarians, visitors will tour the General Reading Room, the General Depository, and some of the special rooms and facilities on the day commemorating the laying of the first stone of the Biblioteca Nacional de España’s headquarters in Paseo de Recoletos by Queen Elizabeth II
Free entrance tickets will be given out from 08:45 (21/04/2012)
