Suggested itinerary
Morning
In the morning we suggest following the same itinerary as our half day tour, that covers the oldest part of the city, and its main highlights.
In addition, we recommend visiting the interior of the Royal Palace. This impressive building is still the official residence of the Kings of Spain, but they do not live here and it is open as a national museum, with works of art that put us in context and help us understand the history of the monarchy.
Lunch break (Gastronomy culture time!)
We propose to do it in the Barrio de las Letras, since it has a large number and variety of bars and restaurants. The atmosphere is also quiet and away from most of the tourist hotspots, so the prices are reasonable and the food is authentically Spanish.
Afternoon
With a full stomach and renewed energy, a nice walk will take us to the Paseo del Prado, a part of Madrid that was developed mainly in the 18th century. It is a beautiful green area to walk around, where at every step we find monuments and museums. For example, we will be able to enjoy two of the most emblematic squares in Madrid, where we will see the famous fountains of Cibeles and Neptuno.
Optionally, a visit to the Prado Museum can be included in the full-day tour, whose paintings always surprise both the most knowledgeable adults and the little ones!
Another option instead of the Prado Museum, we can finish the tour on the famous main street Gran Vía or in Retiro Park, which is also known as Madrid’s lungs due to its immense greenery and size! And in any case, we will always give you suggestions in case you have more time to enjoy the city on your own to truly discover Madrid.

During the full day tour we recommend to visit one or two museums, entrance fees are not included in our fee:
- Prado Museum: 15€/person
- Royal Palace: 10€/person
To visit the museums we can buy tickets the same day, us official tour guides have a specific entrance so we skip the lines.

- Transport: This tour is a walking tour, Madrid is a comfortable city to visit by foot. If you need to have a car and driver available during the tour you can ask us for this extra service. The extra cost would be 45€/hour. Please ask for availability when you contact us.
Your Tour Guide will pick you up at your hotel or somewhere else of your election. If the hotel where we pick you up is not centrally located we might need to take a taxi, this is not included in the price, but is usually less than 10€
Drop off at your hotel is not included. At the end of the tour your tour guide would recommend you things to do if you want to continue on your own, or she would help you to take at taxi.
